Welcome to the Maryland Choral Educators Association!

The Maryland Choral Educators Association (MCEA) provides student events such as the All State Choral Groups, State Choral Festivals, and the Vocal Solo & Ensemble Festival. MCEA also maintains the Maryland Music Lists and presents conferences for Maryland general music teachers.

Upcoming Events

May 1 - Begin submitting music for review for the 2013 festival season

May 3 & 4 - Maryland High School Choral Festival at Morgan State University

May 12 - Maryland Vocal Solo & Ensemble Festival at Chesapeake Bay Middle School, 4804 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122

May 17-18: Maryland Middle School Choral Festival at Liberty High School 5855 Bartholow Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784

May 31 - Deadline to submit boys to participate in the 2012 Men's Demonstration Chorus

September 28 - Deadline to submit music for the 2013 festival season

October 19 - Fall In - Service and the Men's Demonstration Chorus

Music Review for the 2013 Festival Season:

The timeline for submission of songs for music review is changing this year. You can begin to submit songs in May and all songs must be in by September 28, 2012. Please consider sending in music earlier rather than later.
